Fire Ceremonies
In Inka, Hopi, Tibetan, Mayan, and other indigenous societies throughout the world, people recognized the otherworldly effect of sitting with Fire and its influence to open people in a way not easily understood. Beyond heat and light, the presence of Fire was revered for the way that it could produce emotional, mental and spiritual health for communities and individuals, when facilitated by someone who could see and work with Fire’s special gift. This ability, held by those in the role known as “firekeeper,” was cultivated and passed on through generations to particular people. Firekeepers would then be a common presence at gatherings, council and ceremony. When we spend time together, around Fire, just as human beings have done for 800,000 years, something inside us wakes up in that presence of warmth and camaraderie.
Fire ceremonies are the center of all spiritual practices and common among all ancient and native cultures. A fire ceremony is the most powerfully transformative of all rituals. Each fire ceremony offers us the opportunity to use the source of all light to amplify our intentions and obligations. It is a way of honoring and letting go of that which you choose to release and bringing in what you want to invite into your life. Fire is a Sentient Being, as are all the elementals within a shamanic view, and it is important to connect with Fire during the ceremony. The element of fire represents celebration, passion, creative expression and joy!
Fire allows for rapid transformation. The ceremony can be used to release unhappy memories, fears, negative emotions, and anything that you are holding onto that doesn’t serve your Higher Self. It provides the avenue to let go of the old story and drama, unwanted energies and attachments from the past and make space for new intentions. We symbolically release something that no longer serves us in order to transform, to renew and to be reborn. Each ceremony offers us the opportunity to use the source of all light to honor our lessons and old belief structures by placing them in the fire and turning them over to Spirit for healing at the soul level.
Drumming helps to bring us closer to the heartbeat of Mother Earth, to our own heartbeats, and allows us to drop more easily into a relaxed, meditative state where healing and deeper connection to our own guidance, intuition and spiritual guidance takes place.
Indigenous people use the sacred calendar to find the right day based on the purpose for ceremony. Often doing a fire ceremony during the change of seasons (solstice, equinox), at the Full Moon, New Moon, and even to bring in the New Year. A fire ceremony can be performed any time you are feeling stuck, creating something new, or need to shift the energy.
Despacho Prayer Bundle
At a Despacho Ceremony, based on the traditions of the Andes, we create a sacred mandala or medicine bundle. Similar to the Buddhist sand paintings, the despacho is an intricate design of flowers, candies, seeds and leaves that are infused with prayers, intentions, and gratitude. We do this ceremony to honor and celebrate our connection to nature and Mother Earth. It is an opportunity to establish a right relationship (ayni) with Pachamama and through an alignment of our 3 power centers - the power of the heart, pure love (Munay); hard work & service (Llankay); and wisdom & awareness (Llachay). This offering is then buried or burned to release the energy of those prayers and intentions with the smoke into the Universe.
Munay-Ki Rites
The Rites of Munay-Ki are energetic transmissions and initiations from an ancient lineage, maintained by the Qero/Incan people in the Peruvian Andes for thousands of years.
Offered in ceremony, they give you both spiritual protection and deepening connection with the ancestors, earth, mountains, stars, and the time to come. These rites are seed initiations to help you become a being of wisdom and power who accepts the stewardship for all of creation.
These 9 powerful healing rites connect you to your spiritual wisdom, personal empowerment, and universal life force. They enable us to connect with Healers, our Bands of Power, Harmony, Seers, Daykeepers, Wisdomkeepers, Earthkeepers, Starkeepers, and Spirit – past, present and future. A 13th Rite of the Womb connects us to a lineage of feminine medicine. Receiving these rites is a sacred experience.
The Munay-Ki Rites help you:
-
Cleanse your Luminous Energy Field (LEF)
-
Break free from old stories, karma, genetic drama, and ego.
-
Dream a different world into being.
-
Prepare you to become homo luminous, one who transcends time, free of fear.
-
Increase your awareness and invite destiny to unfold in your life.
-
Make quantum leaps of consciousness.
-
Move into the transcendence of the 5th World (5D)
Receiving energetic transmissions is a path for moving out of the limits of the human mind and access the wisdom of the cosmos. Then you begin the process of integration and embodiment.
